Middle School Information Night
We will have an upcoming Information Night on Tuesday, April 9, at 5:30pm at the Williams School for our parents to gather and learn about our three middle schools. Our middle schools offer strong academics, vibrant extracurricular activities and a targeted focus on social emotional learning and student health. Information night will include:
- Presentations from school leaders representing all three middle schools (Browne, Clark and Wright) about their respective school
- Information about each school building and facility
- Answers to popular questions from our fourth graders about middle school
- A question-and-answer portion for parents with school leaders
School Preference Letters
CPS mails home preference letters each spring for fourth grade families to indicate their preference regarding where their student is placed for fifth grade. Student placements are based on program needs, siblings, available space and order of return date. Every effort will be made to assign your child to your preferred school; however, CPS does not guarantee you will receive your first preference.
CPS looks forward to collaborating with its soon-to-be fifth grade families about the transition to middle school. If you have any questions about the information session on April 9, please contact your child’s school. If you have any questions about the selection process, please contact the Parent Information Center at 617-466-5508.
