After construction began in June, the Chelsea High School Cafeteria Renovation and Expansion Project is well on its way! A complete update on the status of the project is available online by clicking here. The project is on track to be completed later this fall. It will create a transformative space for students and staff to enjoy!

At the first regular meeting of the Chelsea School Committee of the 2024-25 school year, Chelsea Public Schools and Superintendent Dr. Almi G. Representatives from the Chelsea Children’s Cabinet attended the Transforming Place Through Neighborhood Leadership event at Harvard University recently to continue their work of supporting youth in the City of Chelsea. Click here to read more. 

Summer EBT is a new program that provides money for food during the summer to families with school-aged children in Massachusetts. Benefits are $120 per child for the summer. Children and families can participate in both Summer EBT and Summer Eats! Click here for more information and to apply.

On Wednesday evening, June 5, members of the Class of 2024 were recognized at Senior Awards Night! The evening featured individual awards for a variety of content areas including academics, the official unveiling of the Valedictorian and Salutatorian, the announcements of scholarship recipients and much more. Chelsea Public Schools Early College students were honored at an end-of-year event on Wednesday, May 22. At the event, graduating students who were awarded the Bunker Hill-City of Chelsea scholarship received special recognition. Click here to read more.

The last day of school will be Monday, June 17th.  On Monday, students will attend school for a half day and staff will work normal contractual hours on that day. June 17th will be the last required day for staff. Click here to read more.
