  • Chelsea Public Schools is a gateway school system that welcomes and educates ALL students and families.

    Teachers, administrators, and support staff, from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve are dedicated to providing Chelsea students with a Bridge to Success, a commitment that ALL students will achieve at high levels, think critically, and graduate from our school system college and career ready.

  • CHS Cafeteria Renovation and Expansion Update - September 13, 2024

    After construction began in June, the Chelsea High School Cafeteria Renovation and Expansion Project is well on its way! A complete update on the status of the project is available online by clicking here. The project is on track to be completed later this fall. It will create a transformative space for students and staff to enjoy!

  • Summer EBT Information

    Summer EBT is a new program that provides money for food during the summer to families with school-aged children in Massachusetts. Benefits are $120 per child for the summer. Children and families can participate in both Summer EBT and Summer Eats! Click here for more information and to apply

  • Last Day of School - June 17

    The last day of school will be Monday, June 17th.  On Monday, students will attend school for a half day and staff will work normal contractual hours on that day. June 17th will be the last required day for staff. Click here to read more.

Chelsea Children’s Cabinet Strives to Support Youth from “Cradle-to-Career”

During the height of the pandemic, while schools were operating under virtual learning, Chelsea Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Almi G. Abeyta expressed her concerns about the future of Chelsea's youth in a conversation with Dr. Aaron Jennings, CPS’ Chief of Staff and Equity. She was worried about the long-term impacts of the pandemic on students and recognized that the school department alone couldn't address the immense needs of students, as schools only engage with them for about 20 percent of their waking hours
