Welcome to CPS! Preparing for your child’s first day in a new school is exciting and our Family Liaisons are here to help! We will go over the basics to help you get started. If you have any questions, our Family Liaisons will be happy to assist further. You can find their contact information below Contact Us.
There are also many ways in which parents can be involved at our school. Attend one of our events; get involved in the School Site Council, also attend the Parent-Teacher Conferences and volunteer roles we may have during the school year. Even when visiting the school, we have an open-door policy and welcome your visit.
Know Your Family Liaison
As your family liaison, our goal is to be a resource to your family and to keep you well informed and connected to the entire school community. Each school has a designated liaison. Do you have a question? Ask away.
School Site Council
The school site council includes the principal, the parent liaison, parent representatives, and teachers. The Council works together through the school year to help improve our school community. Some topics discussed are school attendance/tardiness policies, the school’s turnaround plan, and parent involvement.
Each school hosts its Back to School Celebration event in August. Students will be able to collect school supplies, participate in community engagement, and more! Please contact your school's family liaison(s) for more information.
The handbook will give you all the information you need to know about the school your child is attending. You will find school contacts, class schedules, school calendars, attendance policies, graduation requirements, and more.
Get Started with Aspen
Aspen is an online tool that keeps track of your child’s progress in school. This page will help you set up your account and provide you a step-to-step guide to access the information you need, such as the student’s grades, attendance, and assignments.
