Harvest of the month is a local food initiative program initially developed by Massachusetts Farm to School. Harvest of the Month is a way to showcase fruits and vegetables that are grown locally in our region from month to month. Monthly offering are highlighted by providing tasty samples to students at the Mary C. Burke Complex, Clark Ave Middle School, and the Williams Middle School Complex. Sampled items are later added to the monthly menu so students can get these recipes more than just once!

Chelsea Public Schools have offered this program since the 2015-2016 school year. Feedback from students has been extremely positive and the program will continue throughout the school year and into the summer months at the District’s Summer Food Service Sites!
