CPS to Host College and Career Programming Events in April and May

  • The Chelsea Public Schools school counseling office will host multiple college and career readiness events this spring for eighth grade students. On April 27 and 28, students from the Browne Middle School, Morris H. Seigal Clark Avenue Middle School and Wright Science and Technology Academy will be able to participate in virtual career panels representing a wide variety of industries and potential career paths. Then, on May 4 and 5, students from the CPS middle schools will be able to attend a pair of College and Career Fairs where they will be able to meet with admissions representatives from colleges across the state, and professional representatives from industries who will share information with students about what their respective careers are like.

The virtual fairs will occur during the school day (1:00-2:00), and the in-person events will occur from 1:15-3:00. Parents are invited to the in-person fairs from 2:30-3:00 where they will be able to meet representatives from different colleges and industries.

Listed below is a list of colleges, companies and industries currently confirmed to be at each event. The list is still in development too, so stay tuned for more to be added!
