    Hello Everyone!  My name is Adam Aronson and I am the very proud Principal of the Chelsea Opportunity Academy (COA).  For those that do not know, COA is Chelsea Public Schools’ innovative alternative high school.  Our students all have competing priorities outside of school, and we offer them a non-traditional path to a high school diploma that is supported by a competency-based, asynchronous instructional model.  We are driven by our mission statement, core values, and instructional vision, all found here.  At COA, every day is a new day.

    Over the past 12 years as a Chelsea educator, I have had the pleasure of seeing our city and schools grow and improve in our capacity to meet the needs of all of our students.  I have learned and developed as a professional in this district – beginning my career in Chelsea High School as a Special Education Teacher, Track and Field Coach, Football Coach;  building my capacity to lead as a Dean of Students, Lead Teacher, ESL Coordinator, and then as Assistant Principal at COA; and now serving the school that I love as Principal.  I was fortunate enough to be part of the very team that built the Chelsea Opportunity Academy in 2018. COA has served as my second family ever since.
