Welcome to Wright Academy! I am currently in my 18th year at Wright Academy and will be entering my seventh year as Principal. I am very pleased to be a part of the Chelsea Public Schools community. I hold Chelsea near and dear to my heart as both of my parents were born and raised in Chelsea and graduates of Chelsea High School. I have worked in education for the last 19 years, all of them here in Chelsea. My career has been mostly spent here at the Wright (I spent one year at the Clark Avenue). I started as a sixth-grade teacher, then moved into teaching and coaching math and finally transitioned into an administrative role, first assistant principal and now principal. I am proud of our school community for its dedication to our students and our families and I continue to be impressed by my students each and every day for their hard work and perseverance. One of our key initiatives this year focuses on improving teaching and learning for all by carrying on with the work set forth in our turnaround plan and embracing culturally responsive teaching. Check out our school’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

As we work together toward our goals, I welcome your feedback. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or phone. I believe that we, as educators and parents, have the awesome responsibility of working together as a community.
