School Mascot: FinnThe Sokolowski School serves students in grades 1 to 4 and supports the development of the whole child. The Sokolowski offers a rigorous academic education and actively works to foster children’s character development. The school uses John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success, which encourages every child to be the best person they can be, rather than trying to be their vision of what someone else would be. The school strives to create a welcoming atmosphere for all children, where adults are working together to teach and support students. The school provides special supports for students with cognitive and social delays. The Sokolowski has “school meetings” twice a month to celebrate students’ successes and achievements.

- Teachers are trained in restorative justice practices and will use restorative circles in their classrooms.
- Students will now have the opportunity to be part of a student council, which will support the learning
culture at the Sokolowski. - The school playground will be completely re-built this fall with all new equipment, play surfaces, seats,
trees and flowers. We request that all families help make sure students are safe during arrival and
dismissal every day and be flexible with us along the way.

White Cane Safety Day Assembly Teaches Students the Importance of Accessibility and Awareness
Elementary school students in Chelsea recently participated in White Cane Safety Awareness Day assemblies where they gain valuable insights into the lives of individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
