From Principal Linda Barber
Welcome to Browne Middle School. I am the new Principal of the Browne Middle School and I am very excited for the year ahead. I am coming from Chelsea High School where I was the assistant principal for the tenth grade for the last ten years. I have worked in education for the last 19 years. My educational background is in School Adjustment Counseling and Special Education. I am proud to join the Browne school community to continue the work of providing equity in education for all our students. One of our key initiatives focuses on building a trusting community where students feel comfortable to take academic risks and thus engage in the difficult task of learning at a challenging and deep level. We are also providing the beginning of what we hope will be a strong bilingual program where students will enter high school and be on track to graduate with a coveted seal of biliteracy. Our school’s mission, vision and values can be found here.
As we work together toward our goals, I welcome your feedback. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or phone. I believe that we, as educators and parents, have the awesome responsibility of working together as a community
