    This compact aims to foster the development of a strong partnership between Browne Middle School leaders and staff, parents/caregivers, and students. This partnership supports student achievement and ensures all students reach their highest potential.

    School Administrators: As principal and assistant principals, we understand that our role is to lead and guide Browne Middle School to ensure every student and family has a positive school experience. Therefore, we agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of our abilities:

    • Provide a welcoming, inclusive, student-centered, joyful, safe learning environment in which all students have access to the high-quality instruction that they need and deserve using methods that honor the identities that students bring.
    • Support the implementation of the district’s research-based curricula and culturally relevant teaching practices.
    • Support the social-emotional needs of every student.
    • Provide opportunities for families to communicate regularly with us and with their student’s teachers regarding progress.
    • Model, teach, and encourage appropriate behaviors and promote school values, expectations, and rules.
    • Challenge every student to reach his/her/their full potential.
    • Encourage families to engage in school activities, events, and decision-making opportunities.
    • Share schoolwide achievement and growth data with families.

    Teacher: I understand that the school experience is important to every student. Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities:

    • Implement instructional strategies in my teaching that will assist every student in their learning.
    • Familiarize myself with the needs of every student.
    • Encourage every student to perform to the best of his/her/their ability.
    • Communicate regularly with you, the caregiver, concerning your student’s progress.
    • Maintain regular contact with the other teachers and educators involved in your student’s education.


    Parent/Caregiver Responsibilities:     To support my student’s learning, I will:

    • Ensure that my student attends school regularly and arrives on time and ready to learn.
    • Provide a quiet place at home for my student to read, study, and complete homework.
    • Attend family-teacher conferences and participate in school events whenever possible.
    • Communicate with my student’s teachers about any concerns or questions.
    • Encourage positive use of extracurricular time for my student, such as reading, and other educational activities.


    Student:     My education is important to me. I know my school leaders, teachers, and parent(s)/caregiver(s) want to help me, though I am the one who has to do the work. Therefore, I agree to do the following:

    • Be on time to school and ready to learn every day.
    • Be respectful. I will treat others, myself, and my school with respect by using a safe body and kind words.
    • Be responsible for my actions. Work to repair any harm I may have caused.
    • Always give my best effort in class and on my school assignments. I will problem-solve and ask for help when I need it.
    • Cooperate with others. Follow the directions of my principals, teachers, and other adults.
    • Take notices and all communications home to my parent(s)/caregiver(s).
    • Work with others to keep my classroom and school building neat, clean, and a fun place to learn!

    ACUERDO ENTRE EL HOGAR Y LA ESCUELA 2024-25

     

    Este acuerdo tiene como objetivo fomentar el desarrollo de una sólida colaboración entre los líderes y el personal de la Escuela Intermedia Browne, los padres/cuidadores y los estudiantes. Esta colaboración apoya el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes y garantiza que todos los estudiantes alcancen su máximo potencial.

    Administradores Escolares: Como director y subdirectores, entendemos que nuestro papel es liderar y guiar a la Escuela Intermedia Browne para asegurar que cada estudiante y familia tenga una experiencia escolar positiva. Por lo tanto, nos comprometemos a cumplir con las siguientes responsabilidades al máximo de nuestras capacidades:

    • Proporcionar un ambiente de aprendizaje acogedor, inclusivo, centrado en el estudiante, alegre y seguro, en el que todos los estudiantes tengan acceso a la instrucción de alta calidad que necesitan y merecen, utilizando métodos que respeten las identidades que los estudiantes aportan.
    • Apoyar la implementación de los planes de estudio basados en investigaciones del distrito y prácticas de enseñanza culturalmente relevantes.
    • Apoyar las necesidades socioemocionales de cada estudiante.

    Maestro/a: Entiendo que la experiencia escolar es importante para cada estudiante. Por lo tanto, me comprometo a cumplir con las siguientes responsabilidades:

    • Implementar estrategias de enseñanza que ayuden a cada estudiante en su aprendizaje.
    • Familiarizarme con las necesidades de cada estudiante.
    • Motivar a cada estudiante a que rinda al máximo de su capacidad.
    • Comunicarme regularmente con usted, el cuidador, sobre el progreso de su estudiante.
    • Mantener contacto regular con los otros maestros y educadores involucrados en la educación de su estudiante.


    Responsabilidades del Padre/Cuidador:     Para apoyar el aprendizaje de mi estudiante, me comprometo a:

    • Asegurarme de que mi estudiante asista a la escuela regularmente y llegue a tiempo y listo/a para aprender.
    • Proporcionar un lugar tranquilo en casa para que mi estudiante lea, estudie y complete su tarea.
    • Asistir a las conferencias de padres y maestros y participar en eventos escolares siempre que sea posible.
    • Comunicarme con los maestros de mi estudiante sobre cualquier inquietud o pregunta.
    • Fomentar el uso positivo del tiempo extracurricular de mi estudiante, como la lectura y otras actividades educativas.


    Estudiante:     Mi educación es importante para mí. Sé que mis líderes escolares, maestros y padres/cuidadores quieren ayudarme, aunque yo soy quien tiene que hacer el trabajo. Por lo tanto, me comprometo a hacer lo siguiente:

    • Llegar a tiempo a la escuela y estar listo/a para aprender todos los días.
    • Ser respetuoso/a. Trataré a los demás, a mí mismo/a y a mi escuela con respeto, usando un cuerpo seguro y palabras amables.
    • Ser responsable de mis acciones. Trabajaré para reparar cualquier daño que haya causado.
    • Siempre daré mi mejor esfuerzo en clase y en mis tareas escolares. Resolveré problemas y pediré ayuda cuando la necesite.
    • Cooperar con los demás. Seguiré las indicaciones de mis directores, maestros y otros adultos.
    • Llevaré avisos y todas las comunicaciones a casa para mis padres/cuidadores.
    • Trabajaré con los demás para mantener mi salón de clases y el edificio de la escuela limpios, ordenados y un lugar divertido para aprender.
