Information and guidelines for enrolling your child in Kindergarten at Chelsea Public Schools.
Program Information
Kindergarten at Chelsea Public Schools is located at the John Silber Early Learning Center.
Program Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:13 AM to 2:20 PM.
Registration Timeline
Kindergarten registrations for the 2026-27 school year will take place at the Parent Information Center by appointment only.
April / May
Families may register for Kindergarten by appointment at the Parent Information Center.
April 7 – April 17, 2026
To schedule an appointment, parents/guardians must come to the Parent Information Center with their identification and their child's birth certificate between Tuesday, April 7 and Friday, April 17, 2026.
Note: Information about signing up for the Kindergarten Caminos Lottery and the Kindergarten After School Program Lottery is provided during Kindergarten Registration appointments.
Eligibility Requirements
Important: It is not necessary to register your child if your child currently attends the John Silber Early Learning Center for pre-kindergarten.
If your child is not currently enrolled, the following requirements apply:
- Residency: Child must be a resident of the City of Chelsea.
- Age: Child must be 5 years old by August 31, 2026.
