Chelsea Public Schools is committed to hiring high quality teachers that represent the students and community we serve. Research suggests that referral programs enable organizations to recruit high quality candidates with higher retention rates. A referral program for Chelsea Public Schools has the potential to be an excellent source of quality hires for our district.
Our referral program will focus on our hard to hire areas within the district: math (5-12), science (5-12), ESL (all levels), Special Education (all levels), Caminos (bilingual Spanish) (all levels), and nurses (all levels). Full and part-time teachers and non-instructional staff, excluding administrators, who utilize their personal networks to refer a candidate for a high need area who is subsequently hired and retained will be eligible to receive a $250 bonus. Each employee is eligible for up to 5 referral bonuses for this program.
