2016 Elementary Schools' Summer Reading Instructions


Dear Parents

Your child has worked hard this year! According to research, students who do not read over the summer can lose as much as 22% of their reading level. That means 2 months of school, down the drain!

You can help prevent this summer reading loss by encouraging your child to read over the summer.

¡Su niño/a ha trabajado fuerte este año! Según las investigaciones, los estudiantes que no leen durante el verano pueden perder tanto como un 22% de su nivel de lectura. ¡Esto significa 2 meses de escuela, perdidos en el drenaje!

Usted puede ayudar a prevenir esta pérdida de lectura motivando a su hijo/a a leer durante el verano.
