Chelsea Public Schools - Bridge to Success

Important Message from Superintendent Bourque

Please see an important message from Superintendent Bourque concerning a hoax incident at the Burke Complex.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Today at dismissal time, the police department received a phone call from an individual stating that there was a man in the Kelly School, in a specific room, with a weapon. The call was a hoax. Both Chelsea Police and Massachusetts State Police responded and followed their protocols.

At no time were students or staff in any danger. Again, this was a hoax. Alongside the Chelsea Police and Massachusetts State Police we will cooperate in the investigation to identify the person or persons filing this false claim. We will prosecute the individual to the fullest extent of the law.

These types of incidents will not be tolerated.

Yours,

Dr. Mary M. Bourque

Estimados Padres / Encargados:

Sinceramente, Dr. Mary M. Bourque
