December 15, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The cold New England weather has arrived. Please double-check that your child is dressed appropriately for the very low temperatures and wind that our New England weather brings.

  1. Have your child dress in layers: heavy sweaters, long pants, coats, gloves, hats, and hoods.
  2. Hats are extremely important because a great deal of body heat is lost through the head. The hat should cover your child’s ears.
  3. Have your child wear a scarf to cover his or her mouth in the coldest of temperatures.
  4. Do not have your child stay outside for extended periods of time.

Yours,

Dr. Mary M. Bourque, Superintendent

Gracias y mantengase abrigado,

Atentamente,

Mary M. Bourque, Ed.D., Superintendente Escuelas Públicas de Chelsea
