Our vision is that all students of the Joseph A. Browne School will move on from eighth grade with the academic skills and habits of mind they need to be successful in high school, college and in their careers.

Our Academic Focus

A coordinated, school-wide effort to have all Joseph A. Browne Middle School students across all content areas demonstrate measurable growth in understanding data and evidence to analyze and draw conclusions through teaching for understanding and student practice as measured by student work, ANET data, and teacher assessments.

Throughout October in Chelsea we are coming together with a series of events to help our community "Eat Real." Try new, healthy food! Browne and WSTA Open House
The Browne Middle School and Wright Academy saw a great turnout for Open House on Tuesday, September 9. Parents were introduced to their children's new teachers and classrooms and had the chance to learn about school resources and other opportunities like the School Site Council and Chelsea Community Schools' Homework Help and upcoming course offerings. Back to School Celebration!
The 2014 Chelsea Back-to-School Celebration was another great success for the Chelsea Public Schools. On Thursday, August 21 from 2 to 5pm, the Williams Building opened its doors to families for fun games and activities, a community organization expo, free food and drink from local restaurants, and some spectacular live performances.
