Chelsea Public Schools News
Teacher of the Quarter
Mary is described by her principal as an unsung hero; a devoted team member respected by her colleagues, students, and their parents.
In addition to being a long-time Chelsea Public School teacher of students with special needs, Mary is a Chelsea High School and Bridgewater State graduate! She has worked with children with autism at Spear Education Center in Framingham, taught students with special needs at South Shore Collaborative, and taught severely disabled children in Lowell. Mary believes in what our students can do. Her principal states, "Mary finds strengths for each and every child she encounters and builds on those strengths to help students meet rigorous standards." And, I will add that everyone mentions the fact that Mary is never seen without a smile!
