Diana Chapman Walsh Visits

Former Wellesley College president Diana Chapman Walsh visited the Kelly School and, in particular, 2nd grade teacher Nan McGarry, a Wellesley alumna and TFA corps member.

Ms. Walsh spent the entire day shadowing Ms. McGarry. Principal Howard only learned she was coming the day before, but he had a chance to talk with her about what we're doing in Chelsea.

Ms. Walsh is the chair of the Broad Institute at Harvard and supports the work of Teach For America in various ways.

Ms. Walsh said she had a wonderful day, loved our students, and was impressed by the culture of the school and dedication of our teachers.
